How I found myself on this path is a story I’m sure many can relate to. For most of my adult life I have been an emotional eater. In good times, and in bad, food has always been there for me. It wasn’t until I started writing my book, “Lifting the Weight: How to heal your heart, soothe your soul and transform your body” (still in development) that I fully understood the impact and power food had over me. It was time to change. I needed balance.
Going within, in search of balance, I found my true purpose, my calling, and wanted to go even deeper. Working with a health coach, focusing on myself for the first time in a very long time, my energy shifted and I knew what I needed, and so very much wanted to do. I brought a consistent mediation practice back into my daily routine and was trained in TM, Transcendental Meditation. This journey led me to Yoga Teacher Training where I received a YogaWorks RTY 200-hour certificate. I love to help others find that same stillness through guided meditation and yoga.
Since June of 2020 I began to share my expedition into my past to find a healthier future. I continue to uncover ways we can all lift that sometimes unbearable weight from our hearts, our minds, our souls and our bodies and I share them with you in my Facebook Group “Lifting the Weight with Cristina”. Join me on my journey as I celebrate, stumble, learn, fail, and find the path to loving and caring for myself. 2020 was a year of awakening for me. A year of transformation. And the year that I finally found my purpose.
